Vento Danza ("Wind Dance" in Italian) Borzoi

Vento Danza Borzoi is located in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. We are a small Hobby Kennel that breeds every 2 to 3 years.

Our interest in the breed started in 1989, after seeing them at a Dog Show. Our first was "CH WIND N SATIN COLOR OF CAZIMIR", was purchased in 1995. At that time I was only planning to do obedience but my intentions quickly included Conformation and Lure coursing. I quickly learned that you need more than 1 and in 1997 purchased CH GLADKII VETER DIAVOLOS DANCER. It was at this time that I developed a close friendship with Roy Silguero of Gladkii Veter Borzoi, and it was from his kennel that I obtained my foundation stock; (PHYLENE) "CH GLADKII VETER MYSTIC FIRE" and (Bolt) "CH GLDKII VETER LIGHTNING BOLT".

At the start of this venture it was my husband and I. My first litter (out of Bolt and Phylene) was in 2003 and from that litter we had 3 champions. Of these 1 was a top lure courser, and 1 was BOB winner at Westminster. My grandaughter joined with me in 2004 and has been helping ever since. Casey started showing at the age of 6 1/2. She is also co-breeder on the litter whelped in 2006. This litter is out of my girl (Infinity) DC VENTO DANZA INFINITY) and (Elvis) CH GLADKII VETER NEW YEAR KING.

Cassey and I also own a bitch from Diana Darling - PHENANTHRENES IDRIL OF RYHKA -"DIVA"

In 2006 Cassey became a important part of this Kennel. She does all of the showing and grooming.

Both of us are members of Lancaster Kennel Club and Borzoi Club of America.

We have at least 3 breedings planned for the future, one in 2009.

Careful planning is done on both dogs and bitches in the line to ensure uniformity and closeness to breed standard. This results in what she hopes is an ideal Borzoi.

Not only are her dogs her show dogs, they are also a part of her family.

Phylene most recently took Award of Merit at Westminster 2002. Her career totals to date are 17 Best of Breeds. She also received the Award of Merit at the 2000 Borzoi Nationals. She is currently 5 1/2 years old. Phylene is retired and shown in Juniors by my grandaughter.

Phylene finished her Championship at the Eastern Dog Club, Boston, MA, Saturday, December 12, 1999. After finishing her Championship, the following day, she went Best of Breed over the top 5 dogs in the country at only 17 months of age! Her first big win was a 5 point major at the Puget Sound Specialty, Seattle, WA, at 13 months of age. She was finished in only six months and she was totally owner handled by Dee.

Most recently Bolt took Best of Breed at the Lancaster Kennel Club show in May 2001. In March 2002, he took Award of Merit at Borzoi Nationals in Atlanta Georgia, where he also won the Triathlon competition. Bolt also went Group 2 on July 4, 2002.

Ch. Gladkii Veter Lightning Bolt, FC, SC "Bolt", took Winners Dog at Ludwig's Corner, PA, April 2000. To date, Bolt has fathered nine (9) puppies, all potential show quality. He finished is championship in 10 shows, 4 majors, 4 major reserves and 2 single points--a remarkable accomplishment in 4 1/2 months! Bolt also finished in the top 10 AKC lure coursers in the country in 2000.

"TAG" now lives with Jay Reichart and Doug Noll in Lancaster, Pa.

Vento Danza's Infinity "Finney", was born in August 2001 and is a full sister to "Chewy".

Finney is shown here going BOB from the classes to finish her championship Memorial Day weekend 2003.

Finney will be out as a special in 2004 on a limited basis, and will be bred in 2006. Deposits are being taken on this breeding at this time.

On Saturday 3/4/06 FINNEY obtained her AKC field coursing title.

VENTO DANZA INDEPENDENCE DAY "INDI"

Her first win in Wildwood NJ for a major her second day in the ring.

Exactly 1 year to the day INDI finished her championship at the exact same place Wildwood, NJ. She finished with 4 majors and 3 single points all from BBE class, always owner handled by Cassey Cedeno. Photo below.

She was purchased from Diana Darling and is currently 12 months old . She will be shown on a limited basis in 2005. Diva and Cassey won the Best in Sweeps Class at the PVBC show in April.

FLASH!! Cassey and Diva won winners bitch at the Lancaster Kennel Club show on 5/15/05 to earn Diva's first points.
